Episode 21 Southern California Punk Rock – In this episode we take a look at some of the iconic bands that came from Southern California during the late 1970s to the early 1980s. We especially focus on the Orange County punk scene made up of mostly bands from Huntington Beach and Fullerton. Additionally, we will be playing many bands from Los Angeles as well. We also have a very special guest interview on this show. Barry Hoppie, bass player from Manson Youth, will be joining us to tell us some stories about his experience being in Manson Youth in the early 1980s. As always, all music is played on original vinyl records and on original music equipment from the era. We try to reproduce the sound and experience exactly as it was intended. Sit back and enjoy some early punk rock from Southern California.

Episode 32 BritPop – In this informative episode we will be taking a sonic journey, through the mid 1990s, listening to the epic sounds of the cultural movement known as Britpop. We will get to hear all of the “Big Four” BritPop bands as well as some lesser known, but equally as significant, groups to come out of the UK in the mid 90s post grunge era. This was a time for all things British and for the UK indie music scene to push back on the American grunge scene that had dominated the world during the early 90’s. Turn up the volume and lets adventure to the other side of the pond and experience some BritPop.
